TheOne 7-35X56 FFP TOR

For the money it's really amazing! Controls are smooth and logical, there is a bit of backlash in the turrets(could be a bit more dampened) but otherwise everything is spot on. Tracks precisely and reliably. Fit and finish is very nice. I use all my scopes at max zoom and for the DNT, field of view, zoom level, clarity and mirage management is amazing. CA is minimal and sensitive to fore/aft eye position, but contrast is very good. Eyebox is tight at x35 but menagable, darkening at max zoom is minimal. Paralax is a bit touchy but quick to set up. I compared it directly with my Delta Optical Stryker 5-50x56 SFP and I cannot tell if Delta is skimping on zoom or DNT has more zoom than advertised because to my eyes the zoom level is the same for both scopes, maybe it's the bigger field of view, but when looking through the DNT the image looks huge. I had the same impression between my Arken SH-4J 6-24x50 and the Delta Stryker 4.5-30x56. In comparison, the Delta's glass has barely any CA, it's more color neutral but not as sharp at max zoom, eyebox it tigher, mirage is not handled well, and the image darkens quite a lot at max zoom. Only complaint I have about the DNT is the reticle choice, I prefer classic reticles with only vertical and horisontal stadia with holdover hashes/dots. If DNT just removed the ''tree'' I would buy 2 more of the same model. And I'm sure a lot of Benchrest/Target/F-Class/FTR guys would opt for it as well...since glass quality is really good, I can easily spot .22 holes on paper at 300m. But the whole tree reticle covers a lot of the target so it's difficult to spot misses quickly.
